A 49-year-old woman from Port Charlotte, Florida, died at Lower Keys Medical Center on Stock Island on Monday afternoon following a snorkeling incident off Cudjoe Key.
Jennifer McLalin was reportedly snorkeling when she was found near the bottom by fellow snorkelers and returned to the rental boat, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Adam Linhardt said. Foul play is not believed to be a factor in the incident.
