The journey conducted by passionate residents of the idyllic island aims to highlight the beauty of the place and the importance of protecting and preserving the Curacao fringing reef system.
The team filmed their adventure in a documentary titled “Curacao Underwater Kunuku,” where the word “Kunuku” is Papiamento for “Garden.” The movie showcases the beauty of Curacao’s reefs and illustrates how easy it is for people to access the ocean, whether it be for diving or snorkeling.
The film is available in Dutch, Papiamento, German, Spanish, Portuguese and English.
