A 65-year-old man from Houston died on Tuesday following a snorkeling-related incident off Key West.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said Beau Follis was snorkeling with Fury Watersports when he reportedly lost consciousness. CPR was immediately performed on Follis and the U.S. Coast Guard brought him to shore for paramedics.

Tragically, Follis was pronounced dead when he arrived at the hospital at 8:16 p.m.

Foul play is not expected to be a factor in the incident, MCSO said, and autopsy results are pending.

In May, a Canadian tourist died after a free-diving incident in Key West.
