Scuba Schools International’s 2021 Master Diver Challenge is now in top gear.
The winners of the 2021 edition have been selected, and the winners should be announced in a few weeks. One that was just announced was Shelley Barrington from High Tide Scuba in Mansfield, Texas, who won the Specialty Diver award.
To earn her Specialty Diver rating, Barrington had to complete two Specialty ratings and have 12 logged dives. She has won a five-night Dive and Stay package for two at Looe Key Reef Resort & Dive Center in the Florida Keys.
To be eligible for the SSI Master Diver Challenge, divers must have completed the following:
- 50 logged dives.
- Certification as a Stress & Rescue Diver.
- Take 4 other SSI additional Speciality Programs.
Once these are completed, divers don’t need to do anything else, and they are enrolled automatically in the Master Diver Challenge. This year, the grand prize is again a trip for two on the Turks & Caicos Aggressor II liveaboard.
Commenting on this year event SSI Director Jeff Saenger said:
“Since 2011, the SSI Master Diver Challenge has been an exclusive SSI promotion encouraging divers to keep diving and achieve their Master Diver rating. Every year our Training Centers see great success using the program to engage with their customers, increase store traffic, and promote equipment sales. We would like to thank Aggressor Adventures for another year of partnership in promoting diving.”
