KEY LARGO, Fla. (CBS12) — A man from Boca Raton is dead following a snorkeling trip in Key Largo, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

The incident occurred around 12:15 p.m. on Friday at the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo.

The sheriff’s office says Leonard Brown lost consciousness after snorkeling with a Bungalows Key Largo commercial vessel.

MCSO says the staff immediately began CPR while on the vessel. Brown was taken to Marneir’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No foul play is suspected in Brown’s death, MCSO says.
