SANTA CRUZ ISLANDS, Calif. – Visitors are flocking to Santa Cruz Island to see the return of Island Foxes.
The foxes are often near the visitor center, just a short walk from the spot where Island Packers Cruises drop off.
Guests have been enjoying other activities, too, including kayaking, snorkeling, hiking and camping.
The island trails are lined by tall grasses thanks to recent rains.
Visitors can bring their own snorkeling and kayaking equipment or rent on the island.
Wetsuits are recommended as the water has been a chilly 62 degrees recenlty.
