The Maui Fire Department, Maui County Ocean Safety and the U.S. Coast Guard on Thursday continued their search for the 62-year-old Wisconsin man who was last seen snorkeling in Makena Tuesday afternoon.

As of 3 p.m. Thursday there were no new developments in the search, fire officials said. 

MFD crews were scheduled to search until nightfall and resume the search at first light today. 

The snorkeler was last seen rounding the point on the south end of Chang’s Beach off the Makena Surf Resort at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, the U.S. Coast Guard has said.

The snorkeler was wearing black shorts, no top, green and black fins and a full-face snorkel mask, according to the Coast Guard. He is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing 195 to 215 pounds.
